Technology Lifecycle Solutions

Echo – formerly known as Computer Recycling – is New Zealand’s largest e-waste recycling company, providing a nationwide range of innovative tech re-use and repurposing services.

We’re on a mission to redefine technology’s lifecycle journey by providing sustainable, transparent, secure and accessible ways to repurpose or recycle electronics across the country, for all New Zealanders.

About us

We support the circular, low carbon economy by extending the lifecycle of electronics through re-use and repurposing services, extracting resources and creating value for our clients. We are driven by our passion of protecting and preserving the New Zealand environment for future generations.

Sustainability at Echo

Our Carbon Reduction Commitment
At Echo, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s an ongoing journey. We’re committed to redefining the lifecycle of technology by providing secure, transparent, and accessible ways to repurpose or recycle electronics across New Zealand. Now, as a certified Climate Positive company, we’re taking our commitment even further - ensuring that our operations not only reduce environmental impact but also actively contribute to a greener future for all New Zealanders.

Together with Ekos, we have completed our first Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions inventory, by measuring and offsetting 120% of our carbon footprint for baseline year 1st April 2023 – 31st March 2024. We are proud to have achieved Climate Positive certification for our business operations, reinforcing our market-leading dedication to going beyond compliance and driving meaningful environmental change.

Circular Economy
We actively promote a circular economy by refurbishing and reusing electronic equipment whenever possible.

We have partnered with Recycle a Device (RAD) to create a pathway for pre-loved laptops and IT devices to be used by children and teenagers throughout New Zealand.
